【Samani】49th Apoi Fire Festival

「49th Apoi Fire Festival」will be held on August 3rd and 4th. The festival, named after Mt. Apoi, began with a fire lighting ceremony at the foot of Mt. Apoi, followed by performances on stage by kindergarteners’ Yosakoi Soran, Apoi Taiko drummers, and the local dance team BOSE. There will also be a fireworks, a music show by gorgeous guests, and many other events!

This year’s guests will include impersonator “SINOBU”, Ringo-chan, and our main guest Kenji Niinuma!

This is a big event in the short summer season of Samani Town! We look forward to seeing many of you there!(^^)/

Samani photo tour with a local photographer【Women Only】

The third Geo-tour to be held in Samani town this year is a “camera trip”.
The tour will take you around the scenic streets and landscapes of Samani Town, which is recognized as a UNESCO Global Geopark, to capture the “Photogenic Samani”!

The tour will be led by the Samani Photography Club, which is active in the local area. The tour will introduce the charms of the town of Samani, which can only be seen by those who live there, and will take you to the standard courses such as Cape Enrumu and Oyako Iwa, as well as to the Steller’s sea eagle and white-tailed sea eagle, which can only be seen at this time of year. We will also show you some of the hidden spots that only the locals can offer!

For our meals, we’ll have seasonal produce from Samani, mainly seafood, as well as delicious lunch boxes from a popular bakery! This event is for women only, but if you’re a camera buff or a traveler, please join us!

Note:
(1) This tour is not designed to improve your photography skills, so there will be no instructor. Please enjoy your own photos of “Photogenic Samani”.
(2) There is no camera or tripod rental. Please bring your own camera and accessories.

【Hiroo】63rd Tokachi Minato Festival ・ Furusato Summer Festival

The Furusato Summer Festival is held every year during the Bon Festival at a special venue in the Hiroo Town Hall parking lot. This year’s event will be something new and different!

This year’s events include a boot-tossing contest, a fast eating competition, the Soreike! Anpanman show, a costume Bon Odori dancing contest with local characters from the Tokachi region, and many other events!

A reprint of the nostalgic “Darumaya Curry” package for Hiroo residents will also be available, limited to 150 servings. There will be all sorts of other venues as well!

Have fun in Hiroo town!

※Rain date 8.15.2018, some events will be held on 14th at the child welfare center.

【Hiroo】HIROO Beer Party 2018!

This year’s beer garden will be hosted by the Hiroo Town Chamber of Commerce and Industry Youth Club!

Various drinks and food will be sold at the venue. In addition, there will be a karaoke contest where you can win big prizes.

As a measure to prevent drunk driving, cab ¥500 voucher valid only on the day of the event will be given for 15 or more cups of alcohol purchase. (Limited to 20 vouchers)

【Hiroo】 Piroro Festival 2018

“Pirolo Festival” will be back again this year with the concept of “Let’s learn more about Hiroo and love it even more!.”

Pirolo Festival was started to create an opportunity for people to become aware of the charm and importance of Hiroo Town through a “hands-on event” that combines primary industry, food, music, and general merchandise sales. This is the sixth year, and every year many visitors come to enjoy and become familiar with the primary industry.

There will be food, drink, and general merchandise booths from inside and outside the town, various stage events, farm tours, butter making, cow milking and more! For more information about the event, please check our official FB page!
