Funbe Waterfall

“Funbe" means whale in the Ainu language. The name comes from the fact that whales used to wash up in this area. This unusual waterfall, with water spouting out of the bedrock, can be seen from the national highway that runs beside it. In winter, the waterfall freezes over and becomes an ice waterfall, an amazing creation of the nature.
