Kosazuke Jizo
Jizos are believed to be the guardians of children and travelers, and can be found all over Japan. This Kosazuke Jizo, adorned with a red hood, is holding a baby with a child next to him. It is believed that stroking his head 3 times is good luck for conception. It was made popular in an essay by writer Aiko Sato, and became a well-known destination for hopeful parents to visit from all over the country.
